Shortacting loop-diuretic.
Metabolism and pharmakokinetics
Primarily excreted by filtration and secretion as unchanged drug. Some liver metabolism may occur. The glucuronide is the most significant metabolite. Non-porphyrinogenic metabolism.

Thunell, patient report (n=2): tolerated. Andersson, patient report (n=9): tolerated.
Published experience
Two non-English publications seem to involve uneventful exposure of two acute porphyria patients (Lopes Montes 2004, Moeschlin 1975).
