Rationale
Water-soluble lactam type penicillin. Considerable clinical experience as well as references point to non-porphyrinogenicity.
Chemical description
(To be edited, initial data ST OCT 04) Penicillinase susceptible penicillin used perorally (0.8 - 1.0 g x 2). Watersoluble antibiotic of betalactam type. Mainly excreted in urine where 30-50% of the dose is found in active form within 8 hours. South African list: use. Thunell, patient inquiry: well tolerated (n=4). Andersson: Used in several patients without side effexts
