ibuprofen: Propionic acid derivative metabolised mainly by CYP 2C9. No clinical data pointing to CYP-inducing effects. Did not induce ALAS1 in rat. codeine: Opioid, substrate for CYPs 2D6 and 3A4 3A7 (minor reactions) No clinical data pointing to CYP-inducing effects. Several references consider it safe.

Hydroxylated by CYP2C9 (major enzyme) and 2C8. Inhibitor of CYP 2C9. Excreted as two metabolites.
