Water-soluble lactam type penicillin. Considerable clinical experience as well as references point to non-porphyrinogenicity.
Chemical description
Penicillinase susceptible penicillin used perorally (0.8 - 1.0 g x 2). Water-soluble antibiotic of betalactam type. Mainly excreted in urine where 30-50% of the dose is found in active form within 8 hours.
