Sodium salt of low molecular weight organic acid. Hydrophilic substance, not metabolised.
Chemical description
Trisodium salt of phosphonic acid, used to treat CMV-retinitis and aciclovir resistent herpes infections. Hydrophilic substance eliminated in urine in unchanged form. South African list: no data/avoid.
