Substrate to, and inhibitor of CYP3A4. Administered in µg dose. Several references consider it safe for use.
Chemical description
Opioid analgesic used (50-100 µg/dose) intravenously in general anesthesia during long and moderately long surgery. Used together with droperidol in neuroleptanalgesia type II. Probably metabolized by CYP3A4.
