Not significantly absorbed from the GI-channel. Probably non-CYP metabolism.
Chemical description
Triiodated benzoic acid derivative (salt). Water soluble high-osmolar X-ray contrast used in retrograde pyelography (intravescical administration), operative cholangiography, and in instances where barium sulfate is not suitable. Only very limited absorbtion.
