Chemical description
(To be edited, initial data ST OCT 04) Used in erectile dysfunction. Sublingual administration (resorbets 2-3 mg/dose). Dopamine agonist acting through hypothalamic central mechanisms giving rise to musclerelaxation in corpus cavernosus and increased blood flow into penis. Metabolized through conjugation with glucuronic acid and sulfate, and by demethylation. Only limited first pass metabolism due to the sublingual route of administration.
