Not absorbed. Occasional clinical experience points to non-porphyrinogenicity.
Chemical description
Polymer of dietylene triamine and chlorepoxypropane, M=600 000, insoluble in water and strongly hygroscopic. Used as a lipid lowering agent. Not absorbed from the intestine. Thunell, patient reports (n=2): tolerated. Andersson, patient report (n=2): tolerated.
