Rationale
CYP-inducer. Probably porphyrinogenic in systemic use. Antiseptic varnish. Very slow release from denture, minimal systemic effect.
Chemical description
Antiseptic denture lacquer. Broad spectrum imidazole antimycotic, Metabolised by CYP 3A4 and 2C9. CYP- inducer. The release from the denture is less than 50 mg/week, which will give rise to negligible systemic exposure. Systemic exposure: French list: avoid South African list: avoid Martindale: unsafe
