Rationale
Formoterol: Probably insignificant systemic exposure. Fluticasone: Probably no significant systemic load. Several references stating non-porphyrinogenicity of glucocorticoids.
Chemical description
Formoterol: Adrenergic selective beta-2-stimulator with long durationof effect, administered as inhalation powder (12 µg/dose) in bronchial asthma. About 90% of the dose may be swallowed and absorbed. Plasma cancentrations are below the detection limit. Eliminated after direct glucuronidation and 0-demetylation followed by glucuronidation. Fluticasone: Corticosteroid in inhalation aerosol (50 µg/dose) used in treatment of asthma. Plasma levels under detection limit.
